Robin Simpson is the senior shareholder and former President of the Firm. He received his J.D. degree from Georgetown University in 1986; his B.A. degree from the University of Minnesota – Duluth in 1983, and his A.A. degree from Inver Hills College in 1981.
Robin was admitted to practice before all Minnesota courts in 1986; and before the Federal courts in 1987.
While in law school, Robin clerked for the Academy for State and Local Government providing legal assistance to state and local governments, including submitting amicus briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court in support of various state and local issues. Robin joined the Firm as a law clerk in 1985, became an associate attorney in 1986, and has practiced as a shareholder since 1991. He has over 38 years of experience in litigation, focusing on workers’ compensation defense, as well as advising, consulting for, and representing self-insured employers on a variety of employment-related issues.
Robin loves to travel the world with his family, spend time Up North (especially Rainy Lake), bike, and cross-country ski. He is an avid fan women’s, men’s, and youth soccer: USWNT, Aurora, Loons, and Keliix.
